Many ships have sailed and wrecked. Some ships endure for a season but cannot survive the tides of the real world. Others barely scale through the tides of the show itself, and they cave under the pressure of Saturday night parties.
This is the list of BBNaija couples or ships that were a bad pair. They hurt each other’s games or themselves in ways that make the relationship unsalvageable.
10. Eric & Lilo
Eric and Lilo seem to have found love, the minute they stepped into Big Brother’s house. Although Lilo claimed she was in a committed relationship outside the house, she seemed to have forgotten all about her boyfriend once she set her sights on Eric.
The pair did not seem to gain the fanbase they thought they would. Lilo was one of the first housemates to be evicted from her season (lockdown season 5). Upon her eviction, Eric wasted no time mourning her dismissal instead he fixed himself a hot plate of noodles. He soon followed her home the very next week.
The fact that he cared little about Lilo leaving the house despite her risking her relationship outside for him, makes this relationship one of the worst.
9. Thin Tall Tony & Bisola
Thin Tall Tony was married, yet it did not dissuade him and Bisola from kissing and allegedly doing things under the sheets. They make one of the worst couples for engaging in adultery.
8. Angel & Sammy
Angel and Sammy were so cute until he decided to slut shame her. That level of hypocrisy makes this coupe one of the worsts.
7. Frodd & Esther
Before Ozo and Saga, we had Frodd. Frodd refused to accept that Esther was not into him. He persevered and allegedly even washed her undies. Eventually, Esther gave him face, and they pursued a relationship outside the house. However, the relationship ended in tragedy. As revealed during the reunion, the two mutually grew in love, but things quickly turned South due to issues Frodd could not look past.
Frodd is now happily married!
6. Tolani Baj & Prince
Men are not the only ones who pursue women that are uninterested in them. Tolani Baj found herself in a series of love triangles with Prince. Prince had a thing with Nengi and Wathoni. However, Tolani Baj found a way to win him over after being rejected.
The relationship had fans laughing. Many believed Prince was uninterested and only entered the relationship to make Nengi jealous. He consistently acted like one who was forced into a relationship. He refused to show public affection towards her even refusing to share a bed which other couples did.
During the reunion, it was revealed the two fell out. The revelation of how one-sided the relationship was seemed to dawn on Tolani. She refused to settle for mediocre and we can’t help but be proud!
5. Boma & Tega
Another case of adultery! It was worse than Thin Tall Tony and Bisola because these two were unapologetic about their affair. They did not even bother to hide it.
Tega claimed that her husband had given her permission to do whatever it takes to win. However, she seemed to forget that Nigeria is still somewhat of a conservative society.
Although her husband seemed to support her, their relationship quickly came to an end when she was evicted.
4. Anto & K Brule
K Brule allegedly attempted suicide because Anto kissed Lolu. I think that is enough to add them to this list. Although Anto and K Brule were never officially in a relationship, he was honest about his feelings towards her. The relationship was unreciprocated.
During the reunion, K Brule claimed e did not jump those high feet off the balcony because of Anto but other mental health issues that he was struggling with. However, it seems wildly coincidental that he did this immediately after witnessing the kiss.
K Brule ended up getting disqualified due to his sunt which added to his preexisting strikes. His disqualification ended up affecting his partner Khloe.
Khloe had also tried to get romantic with KBrule after being at Luggrheads but Kbrule had only Anto n his mind.

3. Phyna & Eloswag
Another case of unrequited love. Phyna pursued Eloswag with intent. She even deluded herself that it was mutual after sharing a kiss with Eloswag.
When Phyna returned to her level, she revealed to the house that she liked him, and missed him. She was so excited, thinking he felt something for her. On the other level, Eloswag was busy denying Phyna. His level continually mocked him, making him say demeaning things about her. He was more interested in getting the affection of Chomzy that he did not care about was derogatory terms he used to describe Phyna.
May we never brag about someone embarrassed to be seen with us!
2. Cee-C & Tobi
While Cee-C and Tobi were not a case of unrequited love, they were wildly toxic. Their whirlwind romance only lasted for a few weeks and completely turned south.
They say the line between love and hate is very thin. Well, that was the case between the two. They fought and constantly taunted themselves; either, with silent treatments or explosive verbal abuse.
Even when they were in their honeymoon stage, they seemed toxic, with Cee-C constantly wanting Tobi all to himself.
She confessed much later, after the reunion, that she found herself obsessed with Tobi. She admitted that her love for him made her possessive and jealous. I think many can understand her plight.
Although neither are bad people this was a mismatched pair.
Tobi is now happily married to Anu, and the couple is blessed with a cute little boy.
1. Beauty & Groovy
Groovy and Beauty seemed to gravitate towards each the minute they set eyes on one another. Their relationship hit rock bottom the minute Groobvy set his sights on Chomzy.
Chomzy seemed to be the downfall of the pair. Beauty wanted Groovy’s loyalty. However, his gaslighting coupled with her alcohol abuse made them a toxic pair.
Their fighting eventually led to Beauty’s disqualification. She was hurt as well as drunk and acted irrationally. To make matters worse, Groovy never bothered trying to calm her down. The guy moved on to Phyna. Many claim Phyna and Beauty were never friends, but we know this is untrue.
