The hashtag Lekki Massacre started flooding Twitter space again, with Nigerians linking Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Candidate, to the horrible event that took place on October 20, 2020.
Without pinpointing particular evidence that truly connects Tinubu to the #LekkiMassacre, most tweets from Twitter users capitalised on the narrative that the Jagaban runs Lagos State and must have been aware of the orders that caused the alleged deaths of the EndSARS protesters.
The question bothering the minds of many Lagosians is #whogavetheorder during the shootings that reportedly claimed the lives of passionate citizens calling for the end of police brutality.
At the time of gathering materials for this piece, the Jagaban of Lagos was dragged for various reasons that led to multiple deaths on the day of the protest, deaths denied by the Federal Government even after the Lagos State Government conducted an investigation into the matter by setting up a panel to probe what really happened.

Lekki Massacre: Tinubu Supporters Starting to Withdraw
Already, some supporters are withdrawing their pledges to vote for Asiwaju come to the 2023 Presidential Election, as a result of his alleged involvement, being among the prominent politicians that influenced the Lekki Massacre.
Although it is unconfirmed, tweets on the micro-blogging platform suggest that the APC National leader is aware of what transpired and have started calling on Nigerians to stop promoting or campaigning for someone who doesn’t have their interest at heart and is well known for looting.
Various tweets trending spoke unfavourably about Jagaban, attributing the Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal’s statement of APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket as a clear example of the intentions Tinubu has for the country.
Earlier, Lawal described the decision to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket as Satanic, which has started affecting his credibility and how he’s being perceived by supporters.
Responding to the negative comments about the Jagaban, one @OkpalaCeo warned that Nigerians should be reflective of what they have done to you in the past & what they are doing to you now. Consider your future & that of your children. “Remember, those who shot and tear-gassed you during Endsars can never love you.” She added.
@Godswilluv tweeted, saying, “Tinubu, carry your cross alone. Absolutely, no one is with you. You can’t kill the youths in #LekkiMassacre during #EndSARS and still be asking the Nigerian masses to follow you. No one follows a killer except Co-killers themselves. Tinubu is a political murderer. #RetireTinubuNow.”
