Former France and Arsenal player Thierry Henry has resigned as the head coach of Major League Soccer side CF Montreal. According to reports, it was said that he stepped down due to personal reasons.
The 43-year-old former AS Monaco manager was recently linked to managing England top club side Bournemouth. This resignation now raises questions of if he wants to take up the Bournemouth job.
Thierry Henry Wants London Return
Thierry Henry said it was “with a heavy heart” that he was leaving after “an extremely difficult” period away from his family. “Due to the worldwide pandemic, I was unable to see my children.”
Henry said due to the ongoing restrictions and the fact that he will have to relocate to the US again for several months with his family. He said he would like to return to England because he is not happy been separated from his family.
Olivier Renard speaking bout Thierry Henry’s departure said it was unfortunate and premature for him to leave because he was a promising manager. Olivier said Henry had already told him about his desire to stay with his family, so he is not surprised.
