In the meantime, Popular historian Professor Banji Akintoye had described the death of TB Joshua as a terrible loss to the Yoruba Nation.
Akintoye, the leader of Ilana Omo Oodua, a Yoruba Self-Determination Group, said the late cleric touched many lives during his lifetime. However, the renowned historian sympathised with members of his church and pray that God continues to sustain them.

EveryEvery.ng had reported that Prophet TB Joshua passed on the 5th of June 2021, shortly after a Saturday evening service. In his time as a preacher, Prophet TB Joshua attracted many Christians with his fiery preaching over the years.
His church, the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, runs one of the largest Christian broadcast network, Emmanuel TV, which started on Youtube before it was suspended for violating the platform’s rule prohibiting discrimination against people of a protected group.
The official page of his Television Network, Emmanuel TV, made a post confirming his death to the public. His death is coming just a week to his birthday as he was born on the 12th of June, 1963, in Arigidi Okoko, Ondo State.
