Civil Society Organizations, CSOs, numbering 300 under the auspices of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria, COCSON, Tuesday, unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Managing Director, North East Development Commission, NEDC, Dr Mohammad Alkali, over his landmark achievements and transparent leadership.

Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision decision to dissolve the Governing Councils of all federal universities in the country, a coalition of Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, have started kicking against the move, and has called on the federal government to reverse it, describing the action “as inimical to the growth of university education and unlawful”.

A Civil Society Organisation, CSO, known as the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development, Centre LSD, is tired of the present political rulership situation and has placed the responsibility upon itself to train graduates for this position.

The Coalition of Civil Society Groups, CCSG, has taken the lead in a collective effort with other CSOs to commend the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for recouping the nation’s economy since the negative impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic during the lockdown period.
