The accusation was met with outrage all over social media, with many tagging her as insensitive and lacking emotional intelligence.
The Solicitor to the bereaved family Taiwo Olawanle has accused Olunloyo of trying to soil the deceased name on social media.
The statement titled, ‘Request For Investigation Of The Allegation Made By Ms Kemi Olunloyo On The Tragic Death Of Sylvester Oromoni At Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos.’
The statement noted that though students and staff of Dowen College played a role in the death of Sylvester Oromoni, Ms Kemi Olunloyo has brought a twist to the incident.
The letter, dated 13 December 2021, noted that Olunloyo’s statement was solely to divert Police attention during their investigations.
The firm tagged Kemi’s investigation false and a figment of her imagination and would like her to be invited to assist the Police with their investigation.
“If she cannot substantiate her reckless allegation, Ms Olunloyo ought to be charged with false information in the Magistrate Court in Lagos State,” it concluded.
