It’s no longer news that Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus FC was sent packing last night out of the UEFA Champions League.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Zaidu Sanusi was part of the four man defence that included Portuguese veteran defender, Pepe.
Zaidu Sanusi who plays for Portuguese club, FC Porto helped to beat Juventus 2-1 a fortnight ago and was also rock solid as his team progresses into the next round of the competition last night after qualifying on away goals rule.

Sanusi was a threat straight away in the early minutes, skipping past Juan Cuadrado in the seventh minute and brilliantly picking out Mehdi Taremi, whose shot caused problems for Juventus FC.
In possession, he was calm, making sure he picked out teammates with fine passes. That was how Porto got their first goal.
In the second half, there were less of those forward runs and more defending as Juventus got more hold of the game and pressed for goals.
Juve did get the goals, but unlike in the first leg, Sanusi was not found wanting in any of the goals Porto conceded.
Porto conceded two before he was taken off in the 71st minute. The Portuguese giants scored in extra-time to get two away goals which took them to the quarter-finals.
The match ended Juventus FC 3 FC Porto 2 (4-4 on aggregate) with Portuguese side qualifying with their 2 away goals.
