Yoruba Activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho has reacted to allegations that some people were bankrolling him following the quit notice he issued to Fulani Herdsmen in Ibarapaland, Oyo State.
While reacting to reports making the round that some people were bankrolling him, Igboho described himself as a successful businessman adding that he does not need money from anyone to fight his cause.
“I am a very successful businessman, and I do not need money from anyone to fight my cause.”
Earlier, he had accused the Federal Government of freezing his bank accounts for fighting what he tagged a just cause.
However, he expressed optimism that the Yoruba people are behind in his pursuit to put an end to criminalities in Yorubaland.
You will recall that a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, had earlier visited Sunday Igboho in his Ibadan home.
During the visit, Fani Kayode said Nigerians should be allowed to carry sophisticated arms like AK-47 if Fulani herdsmen are permitted to secure themselves with the same type of weapon.
He also referred to how the Bauchi State Governor said Fulani herdsmen should be allowed to bear AK-47 to defend their cows and their lives.
According to the former Minister, Igboho’s position was that criminal herdsmen must stop their illegal activities.
