A few days after the much anticipated June 12 Nationwide protests, Yoruba Activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has revealed plans to stage a mega rally in Lagos State.
According to Olayomi Koiki, the spokesman for the freedom fighter, the Oduduwa Republic agitators would storm Lagos on July 3 for the rally. Koiki said the rally would take off from Ojota Park.
He disclosed that they had sent a peaceful message to the Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, adding that they don’t mind any other person saying they should not storm Lagos.
Igboho had earlier led other protesters to stage protest in Osun, Ekiti, Ogun and Ondo States.
You will recall that Igboho recently made a new demand in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital. The activist, who went to Ado Ekiti for his Yoruba Nation Rally, demanded an immediate referendum.
EveryEvery.ng gathered that many of his supporters trooped out to participate in the rally and called for the sovereignty of the Yoruba people.
He had earlier revealed that Bola Tinubu would be given a presidential ticket when the Yoruba Nation becomes a reality.
In a viral video, Igboho told the people to stop attacking Tinubu, noting that the former Lagos State governor would choose for president but in the Yoruba Nation.
However, he urged Tinubu not to collect what he tagged Fulani ticket. This is coming amid speculations making the rounds that the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Tinubu, has the intention to contest the 2023 Presidency.
