Amid the alarm recently raised by the Lawyer Representing Nnamdi Kanu over the health condition of the IPOB leader, security sources have revealed plans by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra to break Kanu out of detention.
Earlier, Kanu had reportedly asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to transfer him from the custody of the DSS to the Kuje Correctional Centre. Reacting to Kanu’s request, security sources noted that the IPOB leader wants to be transferred to Kuje for a sinister reason.
According to sources, IPOB militants under the guise of Eastern Security Network are plotting to attack Kuje prison if security operatives move Kanu there.
A security officer who spoke under the condition of anonymity said there is a grand plan of a looming attack on the Kuje Correctional Facility following Kanu’s plea to have him moved to the Kuje Prison.

The security source added that the IPOB fighters plan to ensure they get Kanu out by using propaganda and blackmail to get judicial and security officers to transfer their leader to a detention facility that they could quickly attack.
You will recall that IPOB had revealed the two Nigerian Governors and others responsible for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, who operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS, captured some weeks ago.
According to IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the group had uncovered those who masterminded Kanu’s arrest by the Nigerian Government through the collaboration of the Kenyan Government.

Powerful said IPOB’s crack intelligence unit revealed that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, his Anambra State counterpart, Willie Obiano, Businessman, Chief Emeka Offor and the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, conspired to sabotage Kanu for their selfish interests.
IPOB alleged that Businessman Emeka Offor coordinated and financed the evil plot against Nnamdi Kanu. The group stated that Wike and Obioano bankrolled Kanu’s arrest after the Nigerian Government initially declined to fund the operation.
The IPOB spokesman explained further that investigation into Kanu’s ordeals showed Offor plotted to establish another Radio Biafra with N250 million to work against the Kanu-led separatist agenda.
However, the group threatened to deal with Wike, Obiano, Ngige and Offor should anything happen to Kanu.
