Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has finally responded to the rumours of interrogations by the Department of State Security (DSS).
Yemi Alade and singer, Waje were reported by media outlets to have been interrogated by DSS for their political statements on their social media pages against the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. This was after music artists, Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage were also said to be quizzed by the security service, (DSS).
Yemi Alade confirmed that she was never interrogated, harassed or threatened by the Police or DSS over comments on the present administration. She then urged fans to desist from spreading the rumour.
She took to her Twitter page to make the confirmation. She wrote, ‘‘At no point have I been interrogated by the Police or DSS over comments on the existing Government.
”Can we please stop sharing propaganda!! Sigh!’‘ she added.
