Nigerian singer Rema has publicly called out DJ Neptune for releasing his old song without his approval.
The singer took to his page to lament how the disc jockey posted his song without notifying him. He stated that DJ Neptune violated the codes in the music industry.
He further raged over facts that the DJ didn’t go through the standard procedure before dropping the song and revealed that he had been slapped so many times on the cheek but chose to keep quiet to protect people’s interest feed his family.
Rema said, “With all due respect chief! Dropped my old record without due process?!! I’m not happy at all. @deejayneptune”
He also urged that DJ Neptune does not ride on his humility, and he can’t be talked out of some things; his art has been first on the list. He, however, noted that if the DJ is not okay with it, then it’s war while stating that Don Jazzy would be offended with him.
“Don’t violate the codes, can’t drop my song without my notice, can’t even remember the last time we spoke, big bro, I pleaded with my manager behind the scenes when y’all tagged me before it dropped, y’all still went ahead! c’mon nau!
