Talented Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks takes stand concerning the upcoming 2023 elections.
Going on a needed Twitter rant, Reekado urged his colleagues and other citizens not to vote for anyone who is not keen on serious police reforms for Nigeria.
This is coming amid complaints from his colleague, Shizzi who tweeted about being intimidated by the police for the second time. It is also worthy of note that Reekado was also a victim of police brutality in 2018.
Reekado Banks Takes Stand for 2023 Elections
Narrating his experience then, he mentioned that a regular car double-crossed his. When they stopped, there were reportedly men without police uniforms from the SARS squad who started harassing him and his friends with guns until they noticed him in the group and calmed down.
His recent tweet read;
“We are not voting in anyone who has no plans on reforming the police for good”
Recall that in October last year, there was a nationwide protest calling for an end to the SARS and kicking against police brutality.
