Nigeria and England Manchester United teenage star player Shola Shoretire has shown his displeasure in his Manchester United debut. According to the player, he felt sorry and not happy that his debut came the way it did.
Shola Shoretire said he was sorry he made his Premier League debut at an empty Old Trafford Stadium. The 17-year-old made his debut in Manchester United 3-1 win over Newcastle United in the English Premier League Matchday 25.
Shola Shoretire Wished He made his Debut with Packed Stadium
Shola Shoretire said: “With the fans, it makes it ten times better but still to come on at Old Trafford, looking around me at the size of the stadium and looking where I would sit as a fan and finally playing on the pitch, it was a great moment.”
He also said his family and friends would have come to watch him play, but he is sure they watched from the TV, and they would have been proud. He said after the game, he checked his phone, and it was crazy with his family, school friends and cousins all messaging him.
Shoretire said he would make his debut in Manchester United 4-0 win over Real Sociedad in Turin, but he was not. He said he just went back and continued training and working on himself, and now he made his debut.
