A former lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has urged the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ and the Daily Trust Newspaper to forgive former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode.
In a tweet on Saturday, Sani begged the association and the media outlet to forgive the former Minister given his apology over the derogatory word he used during an altercation he had with the reporter of Daily Trust at a Press conference in Calabar, Cross Rivers state.
The tweet reads “Dear NUJ and Daily Trust, Forgive FFK since he has apologized. Thank you.”
You will recall that Everyevery.ng had earlier reported that members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom chapter resolved to boycott a press conference called by the ex-Minister.

In a statement on Friday, the union directed all journalists not to attend any activity organised by the former minister.
Fani-Kayode has come under heavy criticism for using such derogatory word on the Daily Times reporter.
Meanwhile, the Daily Trust’s reporter, Eyo Charles, who said he has forgiven the ex-Minister also likened the encounter to sacrificial suffering any Christian must face in life.
