Roksie the couple that recently emerged the winner of the Ultimate Love Reality TV show would need to go into hiding after leaving the Love Pad.
It is customary to have the winner of a reality show of such magnitude to go right into the public after leaving the show. They would be given an ovation at their return. Winners of reality show like Big Brother Naija is a good example of what Roksie was suppose to get after leaving the Love Pad yesterday.
On a normal day the fans of Rosie, Kachi and Roksie are suppose to organise a warm reception for them, but unfortunately that would not be possible because they would need to go into hiding for the main time.
Coincidentally, Kachi and Rosie both reside in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, but accessing the city might not be easy for now. If they do not get into the City of Abuja before 11 pm today, getting in in the next two weeks might become a daunting task.
This is so because President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that there would be a two week total lock down in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States in a bid to nip the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
Apart from that, there have been movement restrictions all over the country, with almost all businesses shut down. Lagos has being the centre of activities for Nigeria for as far as you can remember, that might explain why most celebs are found there.
So, if Roskie had planned to stay in Lagos for a while because of the of the paparazzi attached to their new status as the winner of the Ultimate Love reality TV show, at this moment it would not work.
Even if they decide to stay in Lagos not minding , they would not be able to harness the media promotion considering the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria and the gospel about social distancing. Also Lagos is currently the epic centre of Coronavirus in Nigeria, so how on earth will they enjoy this?
Peradventure, they come back to Abuja where both lived before going on the show, the ultimate couple will still need to go into hiding, because Abuja is the city with the second highest number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
One can imagine the kind of reception Roksie would have gotten if Coronavirus had not decided to show its ugly face at this particular time. Roksie would have gotten appreciable number of hugs, pecks and many more pleasing pleasantries, but if they would not need to play safe in the face of Coronavirus they need to forget about that for now.
Remember how the past winners of Big Brother Naija were hosted by influential across the counrty, some of them were hosted by their state governors and some by business moguls who rooted for them while on the show.
As the case is for Roksie right now, no state governor will want to do that now, since most of them are self isolating.
Even if they get such invitations right now, the best is for them to postpone, because, it would not be safe for them and their hosts.
No matter how long Roksie needs to stay self isolating because of Coronavirus in Nigeria, they remain the winner of the Ultimate Love reality show season 1 and the ultimate Couple in town.
