A former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has narrated his ordeal in the Police net following his arrest on Sunday, February 21.
The federal lawmaker alleged that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force attached to the Imo State Government House watched as thugs destroyed his vehicles.
Okorocha further alleged that a top aide to Governor Hope Uzodinma controlled gave the thugs instructions on what to do, adding that the aide pulled out a machete to inflict a cut on him.
The former Governor said he was accused of conspiracy and public disorder and brought to the police station, as he described his arrest as shocking.
Everyevery.ng gathered that Okorocha was arrested for reopening a property sealed by the Imo state government.

Meanwhile, the Imo police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, said they invited Okorocha for questioning following his alleged involvement and forceful entry into a property that was confiscated by the Imo state government a few days ago.

Earlier, the state Commissioner for Lands, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, said the government had recovered Royal Palm Estate on Akachi Road, Owerri, allegedly belonging to Okorocha’s wife, Nkechi.
According to Onuegbu, the government had sealed up the property till further notice.
He said the seizure complied with the directive of the Imo State gazette on the recovery of lands and other related matters.
The commissioner added that the Uzodinma-led administration was doing everything to recover all the state’s stolen properties.
It was gathered that Okorocha had earlier stormed the estate and warned Uzodinma and security operatives to stay off the property.
