Lots of passengers, motorists, and other road users are stranded as three tankers explode on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday Morning. The incident which happened on Kara bridge along the expressway involved two tankers loaded with petroleum materials.

The Tankers exploded causing another one to go up in flames as well. At the time of reporting this, men of the Federal Fire Service and those of the Road Safety Corps have arrived the scene and have begum rescue operations at the scene of the incident.
Commenting on the incident, the FRSC Sector Commander in Lagos State, Olusegun Ogungbemide advised commuters to seek out alternative routes as the fire is yet to be completely extinguished. He pointed out that Victoria Island by Ajah to Ijebu Ode routes could be used by those leaving Lagos to avoid the heavy traffic. He added that the Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway is another great option.
