An honourable member of the House of Representatives in Nigeria representing Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency, Ade Adeogun, aired his view regarding soldiers who record their activities in the North East while fighting the insurgents. Ade Adeogun who is the Vice-Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence made this known while addressing correspondents from TVC News.
He pointed out issues regarding the viral video that went round last week where soldiers recorded themselves crying and cursing while saying some implicating things. He classified the action as one of indiscipline and shows unprofessionalism on the part of our soldiers. He emphasised that having camera’s in warfront breeds distractions.

Ade Adeogun also pointed out that having phones will increase the chances of them being tracked as well as their activities. He urged the DHQ to ban North East troops from using phones.
However, this submission by the Honourable has received multiple reactions from the public. One of the most prominent reaction is that of Reno Omokri. He requested Ade Adeogun to spend only one week in the North East to cure his ingratitude to those risking their lives for him. He asked why we rail when they show videos of neglect while rejoicing when they show videos of victory?
The Honourable is yet to answer the question.
