Reactions have continued to trail the arrest of famous Comedian, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni among other protesters arrested at the Lekki Toll Gate on Saturday.
Reacting to the arrest, Singer and actor, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, condemned Mr Macaroni’s arrest and other protesters at the Lekki tollgate.
Falz, who described the arrest as a shameful and oppressive, noted that the Nigerian government had shown they don’t want peace by using threat on citizens.
Meanwhile, many other social media users have also reacted to the arrest of the Occupy Lekki Toll Gate protesters, describing it as condemnable.
In a Twitter trend, many Twitter users lent their voice to the call for the protesters’ immediate release, noting that protests are part of their fundamental human rights as Nigerians.
