President Muhammadu Buhari’s convoy witnessed a truly horrific event in Kano State when angry protesters attacked his helicopter to express their grievances.
It felt like a nightmare when the stones grew wings and started flying like special-air escorts to the President. However, the matter intensified when the angry youths gathered nearly all the stones in Kano to bring down Buhari’s convoy helicopter.
Minutes later, security personnel assembled to keep the peace following the advancing of the aggrieved protesters to further wreak havoc on the President’s escorts.
Recall that President Buhari’s visit to Kano State was to commission some completed projects and was to be hosted as the guest of honour.
Things went sour suddenly as the President was not greeted with the expected welcome party, but received a message from Kano’s residents that his presence is an abomination in their land.
Sadly, this is not the first time that the President’s convoy would suffer such humiliation. It only took a new turn when the protesters stoned the helicopter and tried to crashland it before getting to the destination.
