Following public outcry by many Nigerians, President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to conduct a presidential broadcast on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country.
According to a post tagged “State House Press Release on the verified twitter handle of the Presidency, President Buhari would address Nigerians by 7:00 pm on Sunday (today).

Television, radio and other electronic media outlets were enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has revealed that no Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kit for COVID19 has been validated.
The agency clarified this in a post on its official twitter handle
“We are aware of validation studies going on. Until these are completed, we cannot procure RDTs, because we do not know if they work.
As at the time of filing this report, Nigeria has recorded 97 cases of persons infected with Coronavirus.
