President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Buhari Sallau, the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on Broadcast Media, in a tweet on Thursday revealed that the president held the meeting with Governor Bello and the Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
The Presidential aide disclosed that the meeting centred around the suspension of the strike embarked upon by the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers in Nigeria.
You will recall that the Union had earlier called off the nationwide strike after the Federal Government agreed to pay N4.75 billion as compensation for their losses during the EndSARS protest.
Buhari Meets Yahaya Bello
The President of the Northern traders union, Comrade Muhammad Tahir, who disclosed this after a meeting with Governor Bello, said all Union members are happy with the nationwide strike.
He added that the federal government had agreed to call off any multiple taxations on highways.
In another development, President Buhari has virtually commissioned the newly Completed Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Technology Building.
The commissioning was held at the Council chambers of the State House.
