Amid speculations and reports about an alleged rift between President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Presidency has clarified the rumoured rift.
It described the speculations as Cynics’ handiwork, adding that no rift between President Buhari and his strong ally, Tinubu.
According to the statement, Buhari and Tinubu have a firm commitment to the All Progressives Congress, APC, towards bringing change.
It further described the rumoured rift as false and the handiwork of some media mischief-makers, who feed on birthing controversies and provide a nexus for naysayers who work behind the scenes planting such stories.
The Presidency added that the Buhari-led administration is aware of pessimists and cynics who willfully spread misinformation to create doubts about the relationship between Buhari and Tinubu.
It opined that President Buhari views Asiwaju Tinubu as one of the most respected political leaders in the country despite all adversities.
The Presidency added that Tinubu was instrumental to the formation, growth and development of the APC into a formidable political party.
