Police Arrest Man For Stealing FRSC Vehicle In Abuja

Police officers in the Bwari Police Division in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command have arrested a 25-year-old man identified as Hamisu Tukur for allegedly stealing a vehicle that belongs to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Headquarters at Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

While confirming the arrest, the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, says the suspect was arrested during a stop and search operation.

According to Anjuguri, the stop and search operation was in response to a distress call by the FRSC on 5th September 2020.

He said the exhibits recovered from the suspect are one (1) white Toyota Hilux-HQ-26RS and a single key adding that the suspect will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

However, the police spokesman reassured residents of its resolve to protect lives and property.
