Penalties Awaiting Ekweremadu, Wife, if Found Guilty

Ike Ekweremadu, an ex-Deputy Senate President, and his wife, Mrs Beatrice, will be facing some dire consequences if they are ever found guilty of the crime of organ harvest of a fifteen-year-old child in the United Kingdom.

The couple will be facing a ten-year jail term if ongoing investigations prove that they intended harvesting the teenager’s kidney to save the life of their ailing daughter, Sonia.

And for the time-being, the duo would have to be under the custody of the authorities in the UK, detained and denied bail pending when the next hearing in court comes up.

The concern of the UK authorities is that the boy’s vital organ would be plucked out of his body without his consent as the court argued that the act is against the victim’s will.

Their plot, Ekweremadu and wife, earlier failed due to the fact that a tip was given to the authorities amidst some protocol officers from the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, which led to probing their suspicious movement when they arrived Heathrow Airport in London on Tuesday.
