Panic as Bandits Attack Niger Govt School, Kidnap, Kill Student

Panic has engulfed the whole of Niger State after armed bandits stormed Government Science College School Kagara in Rafi local government area of the state.

According to report, several students were kidnapped in the attack while a student has also been reportedly killed. 

The bandits also attacked some of the school teachers and their family members who reside in the school staff quarters and some of them were also reportedly kidnapped.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the attackers dressed in school uniform and gained entrance into the school around 2:00 am on Wednesday, shooting sporadically.

One of the students identified as Benjamin Doma was killed during the sporadic shooting, scaring the students, teachers, and all community residents.

As at the time of filing this report, the number of the persons abducted has not been ascertained, but a government source who pleaded anonymity has confirmed the attack.

The kidnapped  victims were said to have been matched into the bush and a recent report has it that some of the kidnapped teachers were able to escape for the hands .

In another development, abut ten of the kidnapped students have been reportedly escaped from their captors.
