Following the release of the three arrested members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, the Oyo State police command, has released an update on the arrested suspected Fulani warlord, Iskilu Waklili.
The Oyo Police Command said it found no evidence against Wakili, adding that the suspected Fulani warlord is still in police custody.
Meanwhile, the command said the investigation is yet to commence on the accusations because they are mere allegations with no evidence.
According to the Oyo state Police Spokesperson, Olugbenga Fadeyi, the released OPC men were arrested for wreaking havoc in the community.
Fadeyi noted that the OPC operatives were released based on health grounds.
Iskilu Wakili
The Police image maker advised people to come and make an official statement at the state Criminal Investigation Department for police to commence the investigation to determine if all the allegations against Iskilu Wakili are true.
Earlier, Yoruba leader Comrade Gani Adams had accused the police of arresting the OPC operatives to cover up Wakili’s involvement in the criminal acts levelled against him.
However, there have been several agitations against Fulani settlers around Ibarapa and Oke Ogun area of Oyo State.
