The Governor of Enugu State, Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has presented the Certificate of Return to Eyitayo Jegede, winner of the just concluded Guber election under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo state.
Ifeanyi, who doubles as the Chairman of the Ondo State Primary Election Committee presented the certificate to Jegede at the party’s Headquarter in Abuja.

However, there are indications that the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party are planning to make Eyitayo Jegede run with the state deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi.
It was gathered that the party was encouraged by Ajayi’s performance during PDP primary election.
Meanwhile, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has vowed to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Eyitayo Jegede during the October 10 Governorship election in Ondo state.
Akeredolu noted that the 2020 election would be a replay of what happened during the 2016 election when he first defeated Jegede.
While speaking at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC the governor declared his estranged deputy, Agboola Ajayi as a politician of no consequence, vowing to defeat him even in his local government.
