A tragic accident in Ogun state has left two people dead and one more injured on Monday morning according to reports from Ogun state.
The accident which occurred at about 8 am around the Indomie axis on Idiroko road is said to have claimed the lives of two people and given serious injuries to one other according to reports from the Sango-Ota area commander of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Ogun state, Mr Adekunle Ajibade.
Mr Adekunle Ajibade described the accident as being caused by one motorcyclist driving against the traffic due to traffic congestion around Oju-Ore, Ota from Iyana-Iyesi. The motorcyclist was involved in the accident along with a Honda car and an articulated vehicle.
Mr Ajibade pointed out that the body of the dead victims had been carried to the Ifo general hospital morgue, and the survivor who sustained injuries from the accident is currently at the general hospital in Ota receiving treatments.
The area commander also said that the drivers of the motorcycle, the Honda vehicle and the articulated vehicle had been taken to the Onipanu Divisional Police station in Ota, Ogun State. He cautioned drivers in the area to take safety measures and obey traffic rules to avoid accidents on the road.
