The Ogun State Government has disclosed that it has enrolled over eight thousand health workers in the state for Life insurance.
According to Governor Dapo Abiodun, the move was to further secure frontline health workers in the state against the risk of Combating coronavirus pandemic.
Governor Abiodun, who disclosed this in a tweet via his Twitter handle, noted that the enrollment followed the resolution by the Ogun state House of Assembly.
Ogun Insures Over 8000 Health Workers
The tweet reads “To further secure our frontline health workers against the risks of combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Ogun State, we have now enrolled over 8,000 personnel for life insurance, following the State House of Assembly’s resolution.”
Earlier, the governor had promised to increase the hazard allowance of health workers in the state to 300 per cent.
Governor Abiodun also assured that his administration would provide Personal Protective Equipment and other accessories for the health workers.
