Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has threatened to disgrace corrupt Nigerian politicians as he warned them against travelling outside the country. During a live broadcast, Kanu said his group would publicly disgrace and humiliate the politicians anytime they are sighted in any foreign country.
The IPOB leader, who expressed displeasure over the massacre of Nigerian youths protesting against police brutality and bad governance at Lekki Toll Gate, said the ban was with immediate effect.
Kanu noted that effective from October 25, 2020, corrupt politicians should stay at home until they meet the 23 demands of the youths. He, however, regretted that Nigerian politicians allowed public infrastructure particularly schools to collapse while funding their children’s education abroad with stolen public funds.
According to him, the children any corrupt public office holders in Nigeria schooling abroad will be chased back home by the diasporan Nigerians to enrol in schools which their parents failed to renovate and fund in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council had earlier cautioned Kanu against inciting violence in the south-eastern region noting that the IPOB leader has deviated from the peaceful approach of non- violent struggle, traditionally adopted by Biafra agitators.
According to the council, Kanu’s lack of respect for Igbo elders and hatred for other ethnic groups in Nigeria had endangered the lives and properties of Ndigbo in Lagos and Northern Nigeria.
