Nnamdi Kanu Speaks on Imo Jailbreak

Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the Imo jailbreak and the attack on the Police Command in the State.

Speaking on the jailbreak, Kanu wondered how the Nigerian Police Force could identify those behind the attacks within a few minutes but could not name those who orchestrated the recent attacks and killings in Ebonyi state.

“The world-renowned clueless Nigeria Police knows who attacked Owerri Prison a few minutes after the event but don’t know who attacked Ebonyi Community more than a week after innocent villagers were murdered. Fulani PoliceNG with their silly and childish mind games.” Kanu tweeted.

Earlier, the IGP, Mohammed Adamu, had accused the IPOB and members of the Eastern Security Network of carrying out the attacks on Imo state’s facilities.

However, the IGP directed the Commissioner of Police in Imo State to fish out the perpetrators behind the Imo Jailbreak and the attacks on Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Services in the State.

He also ordered the deployment of an additional Police Mobile Force to Imo State. Adamu said the deployment is to strengthen security in the State and prevent further attacks on security formations.

The IGP opined that preliminary investigations have revealed that the attackers are members of the IPOB and ESN.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for IPOB, Emma Powerful, has denied the allegations levelled against IPOB and ESN. Emma said members of the groups were not involved in the attack in Owerri Imo State.
