Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun, better known as AY, has expressed frustration with the increasing difficulties faced by Nigerians. In a recent post on his X handle, AY lamented that being a Nigerian is becoming increasingly challenging. His statement has resonated with many Nigerians who share similar sentiments about the current state of the country.
“Being a Nigerian just gets tougher and tougher by minutes,” Ay said.
Meanwhile, reality TV star Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, also known as Phyna, has criticized the recent hike in Nigerian passport fees. Phyna argued that the increment is unjustified given the limited respect accorded to the Nigerian passport in many countries. In a post on her X handle, she expressed disappointment and frustration with the government’s decision.
“Increasing the price of our passport that when you get to some countries sef because of the passport you go be like who shit for body….is what they are increasing… Omo this country don fall flat…. Nothing good seems to be coming out at all.” Phyna said.
These statements from prominent figures in Nigerian entertainment highlight the growing discontent among Nigerians regarding the challenges they face in their daily lives. The rising cost of living, economic uncertainty, and perceived lack of government responsiveness have contributed to a sense of frustration and disillusionment.
