Many Nigerian celebrities have advised rape survivors not to allow any form of intimidation to force them into keeping mute about their ordeal in the hands of rapists.
The advise is coming on the heels of the various reports about rape incidents and the rape saga involving famous Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanji, popularly known as Dbanj and his accuser, Seyitan Babatayo, who recently accused the singer of raping her.
In a series of tweets on their Twitter handles, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Don Jazzy among other Nigerian celebrities advised rape survivors not to get intimidated by anyone.

Nigerian singer, Tiwa savage in a tweet said it is important of rape survivors to speak up adding that anyone found guilty of rape must face the full wrath of the law.
Also, Yemi Alade in what seems like a reaction to the rape allegations against Dbanj, noted that Truth has the power to set anyone who embraces it free.
Meanwhile, Don Jazzy on his part opined that he stood firmly against rape and injustices against women and children as he further urged victims to summon the courage to speak up.
Earlier, Dbanj, who had filed a suit against his accuser demanded a 100 million naira as damages as he reported the allegations to the Nigerian Police Force.
However, there were reports that Seyi Babatayo was taken into custody despite the suit that was filed against her.
