The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has denied reports of ongoing recruitment into the Service.
In a statement issued by the Comptroller General, Isah Jere Idris, he stated that the reports circulating on social media on recruitment exercises are false.
CG Isah disclosed that the act was perpetrated by those seeking to defraud members of the public of their hard-earned money.
He further advised Nigerians to ignore such news as the service is not recruiting at the moment.
The statement read, “The acting Comptroller General, therefore, wishes to use this opportunity to enjoin members of the public to avoid falling into the antics of fraudulent job merchants who are out there to deceive them with empty promises of job placement into the Service.”
The NIS further stated that news on any recruitment exercise into the Service would be updated on their official website and verified social media handles.
