The Next Cash and Carry Supermarket that was engulfed in flames on Boxing Day, Sunday 26, was allegedly looted by some Abuja residents.
However, a vlogger at the scene of the incident discarded the news about people stealing from the site of the tragic event.
The vlogger (name withheld) disclosed that the person’s seen on the video hurriedly moving valuables out of stores were not stealing but helping to salvage the remaining goods.
Recall that yesterday, fire consumed major parts of NextCashandCarry Supermarket in Kado, Abuja in the afternoon on Boxing Day, Sunday 26.
A video circulating online shows the rampaging fire gulping properties and valuables worth millions of naira as several stood helplessly, unable to do anything to salvage the situation.
As at the time of filing this report, there were no signs of the service personnel on ground to contain the wild and wide spreading inferno which let loose a thick cloud of smoke in the atmosphere.

Observers at the scene of the tragedy could be seen panicking to the ravaging flame but had almost nothing to contribute to quenching it considerably.
Some persons sited in the video clip could be seeing making calls to their loved ones, colleagues, employees, among others to ensure they are snot caught up in the tragic incident.
While filing this report, a quick glance of the social media platforms showed that the inferno was still burning massively and persons around the supermarket were clearly overwhelmed and cried for help from any possible miracle.
