Properties and valuables of Diezani Madueke, the former Minister of PetroleumResources, and that of Air Marshal Alex Badeh, late Chief of Defence Staff, are available for sale in the market.
Without hesitation, the Federal Government commenced the procedures for property valuation of the duo, among other proven corrupt ex-government officials also found wanting for various crimes.
Last week, the Nigerian Government screened six hundred and thirteen independent property valuers to manage the selling process of the confiscated assets reportedly acquired illicitly.
According to Government, the assets located in about twenty-five locations within Nigeria and other sites have been relinquished permanently to the authorities.
Diezani Belongings, Others Seized by Federal Government
Some of the properties of the former Petroleum Resources Minister include a foreshore estate at Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
There are also about eighteen block flats and six separate penthouses at Building 3, Block B, Bella Vista, Plot 1, Zone N, Federal Government Layout in the same state.
Other notable properties listed include those belonging to the late Chief of Defence Staff, whose houses in Wuse 2 and Maitama high-end neighbourhoods of Abuja were seized. They include No. 14 Adzope Crescent, off Kumasi Crescent; 19 Kumasi Crescent, Wuse 2; and 6 Umme Street, Wuse 2.
Other recovered items listed are 125 pieces of wedding gowns, 13 pieces of petite dresses, 41 pieces of waist trainers, 73 bits of complex flower, 11 pieces of suit, 11 pieces of invisible bra, 73 pieces of veils, 30 pieces of braziers, two pieces of a standing fan, 17 pieces of magic skits, six packets of blankets, one table blanket and 64 pairs of shoes.
Meanwhile, the entire properties marked for auction across the country is 1,620, including cars, houses, phones, laptops, vessels and other valuables.
