The National Security Council on Tuesday held a meeting in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari revealed this via a tweet.
He stated that the Council held the meeting at the State House, Abuja.
according to him, the meeting is majorly about the recent events on the Abuja-Kaduna highway and other security challenges elsewhere.
Earlier, a former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani had revealed that Nine students of Ahmadu Bello University were kidnapped along Kaduna Abuja road.
He said the students were heading to Badagry, Lagos for an exchange program before they were abducted.
Meanwhile, the former Lawmaker suggested that the Youths of those villages along Abuja-Kaduna road should be recruited into the Police and Civil Defence.
He advised that they should be redeployed to their villages to protect the road and combat the kidnappers.
