Some Nigerians have participated in congregational prayers in commemoration of this year’s El-Fitr as the Muslim faithful around the world bids farewell to the holy month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, dozens of Muslim faithful stormed a praying ground for a congregational Eid prayer in Nasarawa state, therefore, going against the social distance order.
Also, some people took part in congregational prayers in different parts of the country despite the lockdown order and the directive given by the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar.
The Sultan gave the directive as part of measures to curb the further spread of coronavirus in the country.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has published the situation report for Saturday, May 23rd, 2020.
According to a tweet on the agency’s Twitter handle, Nigeria has recorded a total of 7, 526 Coronavirus cases with 224 deaths.
