Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu has dismissed any talk on COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Although the actor believed in its existence, he claimed it doesn’t have a place in Nigeria and that is just all lies to say COVID-19 is present here.
Proving his points, he said nobody has died of the virus in Nigeria. In his words, ”I’m telling everybody not just the government this, say only what you know, do not exaggerate it”.
The comic actor still had to make a joke out of the situation as he said in pidgin English ”Thank God we have hot weather, the thing sef dey fear us”
While speaking on the rising numbers of cases of COVID-19 put out by National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Mr Ibu said there’s no one known to have died of the virus in Nigeria.
He said ”Are they, not human beings, let them bring a picture of at least one person killed by COVID-19 and we find the family of such person”
The Nollywood actor, who was rumoured to be sick recently dismissed every talk of COVID-19 in Nigeria and claims it just a setback to our system.
