A mayor pretended to be dead by lying in a coffin to avoid arrest after he was caught breaking curfew rules in Peru. A man identified as Jamie Rolando Urbina Torres who is a mayor in a town in Peru claimed to be a dead coronavirus patient just to avoid getting arrested. He was caught drinking with friends and flaunting the lockdown orders in the city of Tantara, south of Peru. Jamie Rolando laid still in an open coffin with nose masks pretending to be dead just as in the photo above.

According to the police report, they did not only violate the lockdown rules, they did not observe social distancing while at it. The mayor was reported drunk when he was arrested.
The locals have previously accused Jamie Torres of not paying kin attention to the pandemic issues. They alleged he hardly spent time in the town and has not put any safety measures in place since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
