Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford took part in full training on Friday for the first time since having shoulder surgery. The 23-year-old England international has not featured for United since coming on as a substitute in July’s Euro 2020 final.
Marcus Rashford set to Make United Return
He had been battling with a shoulder injury for months and so was advice to do an operation at the beginning of August. Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer commenting on Marcus Rashford return said: “Marcus trained fully for the first time today with contact,” said United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He also said: “There were a few tackles flying in on him but he seemed OK, which was nice to see.” Speaking at a news conference before Saturday’s Premier League match against Everton at Old Trafford (12:30 BST), Solskjaer criticised the scheduling of matches.
Manchester United bounce back from a shocking 2-1 loss to Young Boys in the Uefa Champions League to beat Villarreal with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a last minute goal to help United win the game.
Ole said: “We had no explanation, but it’s TV of course.” “There’s no common sense at all. We had the same scenario last season when we were in Turkey and came back and played. He also said: “Us and Chelsea both played on Wednesday and could have easily played on Sunday while City-Liverpool could have been on Saturday.
“Common sense might not be so common,” he concluded.
