Popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy has dedicated an unreleased song to the victims of the Lekki Tollgate shooting.
It was a Black Tuesday on the 20th of October, 2020, as peaceful protesters at the Lekki Tollgate were allegedly massacred by the Nigerian Army after the light and CCTV camera at the protest ground were removed.
DJ Switch had gone on Instagram Live to show the world what was happening at the protest ground where many lives were lost and several others injured in the shooting.
Burnaboy, who disclosed in a tweet how he was traumatized by the shooting have taken to the studio to record a song dedicated to the victims. The self-acclaimed posted snippets of the song on his Instagram page where he talked about the massacre that took place on the 20th of October, 2020.
Some of his fans and followers have since called on him to release the Afrobeat song which has the elements of Nigerian music legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Recall that Burnaboy was earlier called out by Nigerians for not speaking up for the #ENDSARS protest, the singer gave his family matter( mother’s health) for not responding as quick as possible.
The ‘Monster You Made‘ singer, however, made his voice heard by supporting the movement by via billboards in major cities across the country. He also did his best to support protesters during the course of the campaign.
