Health workers at Orile-Agege General Hospitals turned back about 40 pregnant women who came to the hospital for pre-natal and ante-natal sessions. According to the hospital workers, they claimed the Ministry of Health asked them to stop attending to patients. This, they said, is as a result of the unavailability of drugs.
Speaking to some of the women amongst those turned down, some of them speculated it could be as a result of the fear of coronavirus infection by the workers. Some others think it could be that they do not have resources to sustain free treatment.
