A mini supermarket catering for the quick needs of Kubwa Village residents, close to Byazhin Junction was burnt to the ground after which goods worth millions were lost to the fire.
It was speculated that the fire started in the wee hours within the week days, triggered by power surge with nobody to control the fast-spread that eventually led to a complete destruction of the shop.
Provisions, foodstuff among other valuables got destroyed in the process and it is unclear, as at the time of filing this report, whether the store owner had insurannce to cover for the huge losses.
So far, the store has been totally evacuated, but little commodities were salvaged which would amount to less than a quarter of the actual goods consumed by the inferno.
Also, there are no signs yet whether the structure would be raised up again after the owner, an Igbo Woman that has operated the store for decades, is done recovering from the immense loss.
