Kidnappers who raided one of the Living Faith Church Worldwide branches at Osara Community in Adavi Local Government Area, LGA of Kogi State, have snatched at least three members from the church.
In an entrance that seemed loud, the abductors fired bullets sporadically in the air to create pandemonium before carrying out their actual mission.
It would be noted that Bishop David Oyedepo is the Founder of the church, which is sited in various parts of the world.
Revealing this act to reporters was the Chairman of Adavi Local Government Area, Joseph Salami, who confirmed the incident through his special adviser on media and publicity, Habeeb Jamiu.
Salami noted that the assailants reportedly invaded the church while some members were holding a meeting.
Community Meet to Rescue Members from Kidnappers
He stated that the council’s Chairman is currently working with Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Osara Division, adding that the duo had visited the crime scene to ascertain steps to rescue the victim from their captors.
The Chairman disclosed that an initial meeting was held with community members to discuss the need to notify the necessary authority before gathering.
He assumed the entire community dwellers understand the security situation around the nation, advising that it must take the effort of every person in the community to strengthen the peace across various parts of the region.
