Kidnapped Nasarawa CAN Chairman Regains Freedom…
Bishop Joseph Masin, the chairman of the abducted Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Nasarawa State, has regained his freedom.
Recall that on May 28, the General-Overseer of World of God Worldwide Gospel City was kidnapped from his Lafia residence by gunmen. They requested a N20 million ransom for his release.

Bola Longe, the state police commissioner announced his release to the media in Lafia on Sunday. He announced that four suspects were arrested and that investigation to apprehend all those involved was continuing.
However, Longe denied knowledge of any ransom being paid to secure the CAN president’s release. He said after investigation, all of the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
Pastor Sam Joseph, son of the CAN Chairman, told newsmen that his father was freed about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.
“He was freed around Lizhi village in Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
“The chairman arrived his Bukan-sidi residence in Lafia at about 2:00 a.m on Sunday and had been taken for medical examination in an undisclosed hospital.” he added.
