Nnamdi Kanu
Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu has started a fresh battle with the Federal Government of Nigeria with his threat to sue it over what he described as the legal arrest of some of his members in Delta State.
Kanu made his threat known in a radio broadcast, adding that the Inspector- General of police would also not be spared by his looming lawsuit.
It would be recalled that the Delta State police command yesterday arrested some IPOB members and were allegedly caught with AK47 riffles numbering up to 15.
The IPOB leader insisted that those arrested by the police are innocent and the rifles said to be theirs belong to the Fulani herdsmen who have hitherto disrupted the peace of the state.
Nnamdi Kanu also condemned the way the arrested IPOB members were paraded like criminals by the police even when they have not been found Quilty by a competent court of law with jurisdiction to hear their case.
