The Kano state government has reportedly arrested 30 herbal medicine hawkers in the state.
It was gathered that they were arrested for allegedly using vulgar words while advertising their products.
The Executive Secretary of the Private Health Institutions Management Agency, Usman Tijjani Aliyu confirmed the arrests.
Aliyu noted that the hawkers were arrested for using loudspeakers and vulgar words to advertise their products to their respective customers.
According to Aliyu, the task force also impounded 30 cars and 10 wheelbarrows used by the hawkers.
Aliyu added that the task force was established by the Kano State Ministry of Health.
He said the task force is on a rampage to liberate the people of Kano State from the menace of rampant hawking of traditional medicines using vulgar words.
Meanwhile, Aliyu thanked the people of Kano for their support and information they have been providing continuously to the task force.
